KUCCPS Calculator

Calculate your cluster points and convert your grades for international applications — instantly.

KUCCPS uses Cluster Points to rank students applying for university courses. Each course belongs to a cluster that tests relevant subjects. Here is how to use this calculator in 5 easy steps:

1

Pick your course cluster

Select the cluster that matches what you want to study. For example, Medicine → Cluster 2 (Biological Sciences). Engineering → Cluster 1.

2

See your required subjects

Each cluster uses 4 KCSE subjects. Blue dot = Core subject (very important). Grey dot = Supporting subject.

3

Enter your grades

Select the grade you scored in each of those 4 subjects from your KCSE result slip — A, B+, C, etc.

4

Add your other subjects

Scroll down and fill in grades for your remaining subjects. The calculator automatically picks your best 7 for the overall score.

5

Tap Calculate

Your Cluster Points appear. Universities compare this number against their cut-off to decide who gets an offer. Higher is better!

The formula in plain language: Your cluster score is a blend of how well you did in the course-specific subjects and your overall KCSE performance. Doing well in both gives you the highest score. Sign up on Orbit to see the cut-off scores for your dream courses.
